Week 4 Reflection

Writing
This week for writing we have been being newspaper reporters and writing a report about Charlotte's web. I found this easy compared to all of the other writing's except the first one.

Late last night on the farm near the haunted town Charlotte spun a web of amazement as a message to save someone's life. Then early that morning Lurvy discovered the web because it glittered and shone in the morning dew. Lurvy dropped his bucket of pig feed and rushed to get Mr Zuckerman to show him the amazing web of words in the corner of the barn door.

Mr Zuckerman, the owner of the farm, was very interested to discover the web and took it in as a miracle this is we asked Mr Zuckerman “how do you feel about the web” “I feel that there was a miracle in the pig we bought from our niece” “Mr Zuckerman how do you think this happened” “Well I believe that the common grey spider in the barn wove the web”
“Mr Zuckerman why do you think the spider wove the web” “My niece says that the spider is fond of Wilbur, the pig, and that she can talk to the animals”.

Numeracy

This week for maths we have been jumping from decimal to decimal in the least amount of jumps we can do. I found this easy because I already new decimals

Reading
This week for reading we have been doing a padlet on paragraph starters. This was easy. Our next step is to use links between paragraphs.

Writing
For writing we have been reading Charlotte's web and doing some writing about it.

Week 1 - describe

In Zuckerman’s barn the manure pile squealed at wilbur as he sadly lay down the grass outside was like a magic carpet in the rain. The goose was honking like a freight train at wilbur and all the other animals to be quite. The barns red paint looked like tomatoes on the nice trees in the background wilbur was as sad as an elephant in a hole the rusty rat traps groaned at wilbur. The new rope looked threatening as a snake to a little pig like wilbur the windows were diamonds as they stared down at the animals as if they were stalking them the glass shimmered like ice in the sun

TASK - Describe Zuckerman’s barn! Use similes, metaphors and personification to make it interesting.
