KKN

A shocking discovery was made at the Tauranga SPCA over the weekend when the staff arrived on Sunday to find that 2 of the puppies had been stolen.
Manager Margaret Rawiri says that the shelter’s 1.8 metre security fence had been cut in several places and it is obvious that the thieves deliberately targeted the puppies.
One of the puppies is known as Boss and is a 6 month old male tan Labrador-cross. The second puppy had only arrived at the shelter on Saturday and staff did not have the time to even check the gender or breed. The puppy is believed to be around 6-8 weeks old and had been brought in as a stray.
The break-in will mean a lot of money going towards the fence repairs and also new surveillance. The fence had been built earlier this year and cost around $30,000.
Anyone with any information about the location of the missing puppies or the identity of the thieves are urged to contact Tauranga police.
