Food Pyramid

Over the last few weeks we have been doing topic on fruits and vegetables. Here is my food pyramid that I created on google drawings without looking at the internet. I should be eating more of the foods at the bottom and less that are at the top.

Week 2 Reflection

Hello and welcome to my first blog post for the year. This will be a reflection on my first two weeks in Totara 3 as well as a presentation of my work.

Maths
For the last two weeks of maths we have been doing worksheet's as well as basic facts everyday. I came 4th in the class this week for basic facts and aim to get the same next week.

Writing
For writing we have been doing some acrostic poems and I can show you one of mine!

Reflection
So far Totara 3 feels like a great class that will teach me heaps and make me a better person by meeting new friends and joining in games and activities.

T2's Favourite Pets Pie Chart

Last week I interviewed Totara 2 and I asked the question what is your favourite pet as you can see Hamster and rabbit are the least favourite and turtle is the most favourite.

Super man Symbol Plotting Coordinates

We have been learning how to plot coordinates. For this activity we had to draw and label our axis and then plot the coordinates to create the picture I chose the superman logo I found it hard because I thought my coordinates were wrong and then I double checked but they were right.

This week for maths I did some maths buddy and I did four tests and I was very good at it. I found this task medium difficulty because some of the tests were reasonably hard.

Reflection T2W1

This week on Monday we made ANZAC biscuits to celebrate (a very late) ANZAC day and besides they tasted AMAZING. In our group Marshall put too much golden syrup in the mixture and they were sweet and syrupy and delicious. We used this recipe:
1 cup rolled oats.
1 cup thread coconut.
1 cup flour.
1 cup sugar.
125 g butter.
2 Tbsp golden syrup.
1 tsp baking soda.
2 Tbsp boiling water.
  

Family Fiesta

The Family Fiesta is here! It is basically a giant gala day with things to buy and games to play. Every syndicate had to make something to try and sell. Rata (year 1/2) made decorated eggs, Pohutakawa (year 3/4) made windmills Mamaku(Year 5/6) made recycled monsters and Totara(My syndicate) Made cupcakes. I made a chocolate chip cupcake iced with blue icing and decorated with sugar pearls and chocolate stars. Here it is.

First Reflection 2017

This week we had to do a slide for topic/literacy on a disaster and we chose to do the decade of the strongman mine.

End Of Year Reflection
